Community Groups

At NewLife, we recognize the importance of community in our walk with Jesus. Community Groups are gospel-centered environments where people can connect, serve, grow, and be transformed by the Gospel of Christ. Below is a list of groups, both short-term and ongoing, that are currently running at NewLife. If you are interested in any of the following Community Groups, please sign up by visiting our online signup page, or contact the group leader. If you would like more information about any of the following Community Groups, or future Community Groups, please speak to one of the elders or contact us.

Short-term Groups

Evolution’s Achilles’ Heels

This 96 minute documentary interviews 15 Ph.D. scientists about the greatest weaknesses of modern evolutionary theory. The public generally hears only one side of the origins debate. The theory of evolution holds that all of the many life forms on earth descended from a single ancestor by undirected, random mutations and natural selection. It is taught as established science to students in virtually all schools in our country—from grade school through college and graduate studies. But is it really true? How well does the theory of evolution --which was first does published 1859--, actually stand up under the scrutiny of today’s science? The interviews supplemented with first-rate animations and illustrative footage presents a powerful “warts and all” critique of textbook evolutionary orthodoxy.

Live Like You Were Dying

It makes many people uncomfortable to talk about it, but death eventually comes for everyone. Even though death is an enemy to us all, if we use the knowledge of death to help us focus on how we live our lives, this knowledge can be used by God to help us make the most of our life. In this 4-week study, we will examine our lives in the light of death, in the hopes that God will transform our lives for the better. Sandwiches will be provided at 6:30 for anyone who wants to come early..
